The Grace Lutheran JV Mustangs played across town rivals, the St. Paul's Christian Day School Crusaders, Thursday evening. Great weather and a huge crowd made for a awesome evening of flag football at Grace Lutheran School.
Both Teams played exceptionally well, with the Mustangs going up 12-0 early. The battle was on as the Crusaders came back to tie 12-12.
In the third quarter, the Crusaders went up 18-12, but the Mustangs put up another touchdown with a long pass down the sidelines. They unfortunately did not convert the extra point to tie the game again at 18-18.
In the Fourth quarter, defense took over on both sides, as the ball traded hands, until the Crusaders took the lead making the score 25-18.
The Mustangs then tied the game with a long run, out of the backfield, and a point after completion pass.
Both teams played exceptional hard and put on a awesome show for the fans. What a blessing to have kids like this in our community learning team sports and sportsmanship.
